I’m off to the Final 2 performance show and the finale in Toronto. CTV announced there was a 2% difference between Jaydee and Brian’s votes last Monday night. The race is close - that’s for sure! The new coronation song that both competitors will sing Monday night is “All I Ever Wanted”. I’ll be calling Don, Joanne & the Coach each morning at 7:05 on Lite 96. Take the new poll on this site to decide who you think will win Tuesday night.

Last night on Canadian Idol’s one hour result show the Top2 finalists were revealed. It was a performance packed episode with three former Idol contestants taking the stage.
The show opened with the Top 3 singing Sass Jordan’s “I Want To Believe”. This truly was the worst Top 3 group performance I’ve heard. Yikes! What the heck happened with Jaydee and Carly Rae at the beginning of the song?

It’s down to the wire - next week is the finale. After being out of the country for almost two weeks I was really disappointed to find out that Matt wasn’t one of the contestants singing last night. When I watched the Top 4 “Standard’s” show this weekend Dwight, who should have been voted off weeks ago, butchered every song he performed. In fact other than Brian it was quite a disappointing show in what is usually my favourite theme show of the season. Thank goodness Dwight was voted off - there was no way he could have lasted another week after that train-wreck. So what we have left are three very diverse Idols for the Top 3. Are they the best from the Top 22? No not quite! However one of them sure deserves to be there. This week Sass Jordan mentored the contestants and I thought she brought out some wonderful sides to the Idols especially Jaydee. Each Idol sang two songs - one chosen by the judges and the other song was one of three songs submitted by each contestant that viewers voted for online.
